I don’t use the Visual Editor, only the HTML editor when writing posts and pages. By using the HTML Editor exclusively, I do lose the ability to see the post as I am writing it.
However I don’t see this as any great loss. In fact it is a distinct advantage. The Visual Editor only provides an approximate representation of the way may page will look anyway – so what use is that?
The downside of having to work just with the html editor in WordPress is that I have to keep “previewing” the page to see what it’s going to look like. Is there a better way to preview as you go?
It may explain my so many people who do use the Visual Editor have such scrappy looking pages!
Use The HTML Editor And Preview Your Work Frequently
Why not use the Preview button and see the real thing?
To make this easier all you have to do is set up a window in another tab on your browser and keep it trained on the preview. Then all you do is flick over and refresh every time you want to see what your post or page actually look like. What could be simpler that that?
